Betis Church
The St. James the Apostle Parish Church commonly known as Betis Church is a Baroque church located in the Betis, Guagua in Pampanga, The church was established in 1607 and dedicated to Saint James, the Apostle. It was declared a National Cultural Treasure by the National Museum and the National Commission for Culture and the Arts. Know as the "Sistine Chapel of the Philippines" because of the paintings, which was done in 1939 by Macario Ligon and his teenage assistant Victor Ramon, who restored the paintings in the 70s.
